As someone who travels the world in search of kink, casual sex, and downright debauchery, I’ve become pretty adept at finding a suitable hotel to accommodate my naughty needs.
However, sometimes, the last thing you want to do in a hotel is sleep. This is particularly true if you’re a BDSM aficionado looking to get whipped, spanked, chained up, pegged, abused, humiliated, and whatever else floats your boat.
In that instance, you’re probably looking for something very particular in your hotels and aim for one that has your kinky needs in mind.
The problem, of course, is finding something that can cater to such particular sexual tastes. Some places are easier than others (as we’ll see), but there are actually more than a few options out there for the discerning kinkster looking for a BDSM hotel to hang their cat-o’-nine-tails.
And I’ve visited plenty of them! So, it’s join me on a fetish adventure and take a look at the five of the most prominent BDSM hotels in the world. Let’s polish our latex and get started!
Table of Contents
The Suite, Amsterdam, Netherlands
If you had to think of a city where you’d find a fantastic BDSM hotel, chances are that the Dutch capital of Amsterdam would have been close to the top of the list. And chances are that that hotel suite would be located in De Wallen, Amsterdam’s notorious red light district.
The Suite is, in fact, the perfect BDSM hotel in all aspects but one – it isn’t actually a hotel suite. It is, rather, a private apartment that’s available to rent by the evening.
And while that should technically discount it from this list, the fact is that it’s just too perfect to pass up without mentioning.
The Suite is, simply put, a kinkster’s dream. It’s furnished wall to wall in red and black, and latex and leather abounds.
It has a full-sized cage for locking up naughty subs, a St. Andrew’s Cross with straps, full-length mirrors, straps galore, sex swing, sex toys, BDSM accouterments to satisfy even the most martinetish of doms, and a dancing pole.
Even the nightstands are kinky, shaped as they are like kneeling women in corsets. The perfect thing to arrange all of your BDSM equipment out on!
The look is completed with a selection of high-quality erotic artwork adorning the dimly lit walls, making for an erotic evening that you’ll never forget.
It’s worth remembering, however, that the Suite is a private apartment and not a hotel. That means that you’ll need to be respectful of the property and that all that lube and candle wax will need to be cleaned up before you vacate the premises.
As long as you can bear these simple rules in mind, you’re bound to have a great time in the Suite.
The Secret Dungeon, High Wycombe, UK
You’d be forgiven for thinking that a nation as tightly buttoned as the British would forgo all things kinky, but if you’ve interacted with kinksters for any amount of time, you know that the opposite is true: the more tightly wound the folk, the more fucked up they get in the bedroom.
The British are, naturally, the perfect example of this and the Victorian-era stereotypes of the British being prudes are now fading away fast.
This brings us to the Secret Dungeon, a delightful BDSM hotel found in the Tolkienesque-sounding town of High Wycombe, England.
While it doesn’t really stay true to the ‘secret’ part of its name, It more than follows through on the ‘dungeon’ part, with a fully-fledged sex oubliette that’s kitted out with more than enough BDSM goodies to keep you and your partner(s) occupied for the duration of your stay.
The Secret Dungeon is fully equipped with a St Andrew’s Cross, padded wall, BDSM throne, box, impaler, O tower, ‘sin bin’ (a delightful British term for a place a naughty person is sent to), several flavors of hoist, leather swing, mantis and g-chairs, and a bench fashioned in the style of the dog.
Simply put: whatever you’d want from a sex dungeon is on offer in this depraved glimpse behind the curtain of British decency. It’s like a Carry On movie, but with more fetishized beating.
Hedonism II, Negril, Jamaica
With a name like ‘Hedonism II’, this beach resort isn’t exactly being coy about what’s going on behind closed doors, and we’ve featured it before in our list of cuckold and Hotwife vacation destinations!
And what’s going on behind closed doors is nudity, and lots of it – Hedonism II is a nudist-friendly resort with plenty of areas dedicated to the fine art of al fresco clotheslessness. And almost every single guest here takes advantage of those areas.
If you like a dash of swinging to go with your BDSM, then Hedonism II is the perfect place to indulge in those desires.
Though it’s not necessarily the case that everyone in the resort is up for tossing their figurative car keys in the pot, it is a destination that facilitates such shenanigans, and discreet inquiries are unlikely to meet with anything in the way of hostility.
If you like a sure thing, however, then the resort does actually offer swingers’ events, where hooking up with like-minded couples is all but guaranteed.
You can check their schedule ahead of time in order to ensure that your visit coincides with one of Hedonism’s legendary parties.
If you like to keep your BDSM strictly between you and your partner, then that’s fine, too. Just be warned that even the premium suites aren’t explicitly equipped with bondage gear, and you’ll have to source your own.
You’ll have a fantastic time doing so, however, with the amazing ocean views from your private suite making for a stunning backdrop to your vigorous paddling.
Maxime Hotel, Lisbon, Portugal
The sun-kissed country of Portugal, nestled on southern Europe’s Iberian Peninsula, might not strike you as a particularly obvious place for some kinky BDSM action.
But that’s where you’d be wrong – the Maxime Hotel in the Portuguese capital is rapidly gaining a name for itself as a prime draw for visiting BDSM enthusiasts.
The bondage room, as it’s fittingly called, comes decked out with a king-sized bed (and a wrought-iron frame perfect for cuffs and straps).
It’s also got two sex swings, a hanging cage (thoughtlessly lined with soft fur, making for a needlessly comfortable experience), an array of weird and wonderful BDSM-themed artwork, and a variety of cuffs, whips, and chains for your pleasure.
It may not be as flashy or as well-equipped as its British or Dutch equivalents, but throw in its prime location in downtown Lisbon and the excellent hotel facilities, and you’ve got a stay that you won’t forget anytime soon.
Dungeon East, Los Angeles, USA
Why is it that every single sex dungeon on the face of the earth has to be dingy and grimy? Wouldn’t it be nice if you could find one that was a little fresher and brighter?
Whipping doesn’t have to be done in the dark, and there’s a lot to be said for putting a new twist on old kinks in an unconventional environment.
That’s where Dungeon East comes in. It looks a lot as if minimalist Japanese wood enthusiasts had designed a sex dungeon – it’s clean, it’s bright, and it looks as if it smells like the first day of spring. It is, in short, a thoroughly refreshing way to experience BDSM.
If this all sounds far too bright and inviting for you, give it a second look. While the décor may be blazing white and positively cheery, the accouterments are anything but.
A professional dominatrix fully designed and furnished the 1400-ft square area, and she knew exactly what she was doing.
The rooms have the requisite St Andrew’s Cross, a bell cage, prison stockade, winch, bondage cage and bed, stand-up cage, spanking horse, and any number of whips, chains, and straps.
A lot of folks would argue that you simply couldn’t find a better-stocked BDSM dungeon – not even in the depraved corners of merry old England.
What’s more, if you find yourself without your own femdom, you can hire the very lady who put Dungeon East together. Justine Cross, the owner and proprietor, is more than happy to put any budding sub through their paces. Just be sure to book ahead of time and ensure that the price is right.
Hotel Alpha-in, Tokyo, Japan
Quick – name another people as sexually repressed as the British. We’ll wait.
That’s right – it’s the Japanese. So fucked up are they over their sexual hangups that they have pixelated junk and far too many weird hentai subgenres about tentacles and bedridden crash victims.
But we’re not here to kink-shame. We’re here to kink-fame with the majestic Hotel Alpha-in, Tokyo (Japanese only).
Hotel Alpha-in (unsure if it is bad English or a pun) sports a suite that is the absolute perfect sex dungeon. It comes equipped with several types of bondage chairs, spanking horse, St Andrew’s Cross, sex swing, prison stockade, and – for when the going gets too rough – a large and spacious bed to rest those weary battle-worn buttocks.
Throw into the mix any number of dusters, whips, chains, and paddles, and you’ve got yourself a recipe for a hardcore hentai holiday to satisfy even the most ardent of BDSM-loving Japanophiles. Get those tickets booked and get ready to shibari like you’ve never before shibari’d!
